Javier Cutrona was born in Argentina and graduated from the Film & Television University. He is a recipient of major international awards, including El Ojo de Iberoamérica, The One Show, and a Gold Lion at Cannes.
Alucina is his first fiction feature film. It has received multiple international accolades, including the Jury Prize at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Best Film at the Pasto International Film Festival, Best Film and Best Actress at the Sydney Sci-Fi Film Festival, and Best Film at the Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival.
